Inspiring ALL to Belong, Believe, Bear Fruit

The Resurrection Eco Troopers

Church of England School of the Resurrection is registered as an Eco School and as a team are working towards gaining awards that show how hard we've worked to improve the school environment.

The Resurrection Eco Troopers meet once a fortnight to discuss the school environment and what we can do to make it better. The children came together and wrote their own Eco Code to share their thoughts about being an eco friendly school.

 Here is our Eco Code...

We have completed a questionnaire reviewing how environmentally friendly the school is. Together we have come up with an action plan thinking about how we can make our school more environmentally friendly. Our main focus at the moment is recycling, especially looking at how much paper is wasted in our school.

The Resurrection Eco Troopers have now introduced new paper bins into each of the classrooms and the office areas. They are hoping that they can encourage their friends and teacher to recycle more paper to help us become more environmentally friendly.

We currently hold the Bronze Eco Award and are now working towards achieving the Silver Award.

Within Eco Council meetings, class and as a school we learn about recycling, biodiversity and how to look after our environment.
